Check-in

The check-in counters for your flight will be opened at least 2.5 hours before departure.

You should arrive at your airline's check-in desk not less than 2.5 hours before your flight is scheduled to depart to make sure that you have plenty of time to check in and that the flight leaves on schedule. If you arrive later than this, the airline can refuse to allow you on board. 

Please contact your airline or tour operator to find out when the check-in desk for your flight closes. 

You should be at the gate at least 40 minutes before your flight departs.

Wizz Air passengers at Dortmund Airport have the opportunity to check in their checked baggage quickly and easily themselves at check-in counters 13 and 14. The machines can be operated simply and intuitively in seven languages via a touch screen. A valid boarding pass is required.

Excess baggage and bulky items such as pushchairs, wheelchairs, golf bags or musical instruments can still only be handed in at the regular check-in counters.

Check in during the evening for a relaxed start to the following day. Some airlines allow you to check in your luggage the evening before you fly. This means that you can avoid having to queue at the check-in desk on the day of your flight and can go directly to the security checkpoint on the departures level.

Important: At check-in, the identity cards or passports of all persons who are to be checked in in advance must be presented. Long and short firearms cannot be checked in at the eve check-in.
